Taking a Snapshot

You can take snapshots of specific web pages that you want to analyze.

About this task

Note: Before you capture your snapshot, it is recommended to either clear the browser cache before a page load, or disable browser caching entirely, in order to avoid gaps in the snapshot. To disable caching in Firefox, set your browser to "Do not remember history."

Procedure

  1. Go to the web page for which you want to take snapshots.
  2. Click the Firefox extension.
  3. If you are not already logged in, a pop-up window is displayed, prompting you to log in to the Discover Portal.
  4. Click the Snapshot extension and take a snapshot. The created snapshot is saved to the Gallery.
  5. After you take a snapshot, a menu is displayed, where you can enter information about your Snapshot. Enter the name, add any tags, and move the Snapshot to the appropriate stack.

What to do next

You can access your saved snapshots through the Snapshot Gallery.
