Accessibility features for Z Data Tools

Accessibility features assist users who have a disability, such as restricted mobility or limited vision, to use information technology content successfully.

Overview

Z Data Tools includes the following major accessibility features:
  • Keyboard-only operation
  • Operations that use a screen reader

Z Data Tools uses IBM® z/OS® SMP/E to install the product. You can read about the accessibility features of IBM® z/OS® SMP/E at https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/zos/2.5.0?topic=documentation-accessibility-features-zos.

The Z Data Tools product documentation is available at https://help.hcl-software.com/zdt/welcome/index.html which is viewable from a standard web browser, and as PDF files.

PDF files have limited accessibility support. With PDF documentation, you can use optional font enlargement, high-contrast display settings, and can navigate by keyboard alone.

Keyboard navigation

For information about navigating ISPF panels by using TSO/E or ISPF, refer to https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/zos/2.5.0?topic=documentation-accessibility-features-zos. This topic describes how to navigate through the interface, including how to use keyboard shortcuts or function keys.

Interface information

The Z Data Tools user interfaces do not have content that flashes 2 - 55 times per second.
