Specifying the subsystem
To run Workload Automation Programming Language both
batch and online, you must set the SUBSYS
parameter
to specify the subsystem used when the communication with HCL Workload Automation for Z was
initialized.
INIT
statement.OPTIONS
keywords require
communication with the HCL Workload Automation for Z
PIF.To communicate with more than one HCL Workload Automation for Z subsystem in a Workload Automation Programming Language session, you can initialize your own connection to HCL Workload Automation for Z by using an INIT statement before any other statement that requires the PIF.
SUBSYS
is a required positional parameter, so even if you are specifying
the subsystem explicitly using INIT
statements, you must provide a value.
The default in EQQYXJPX and EQQYXTSO is set to an asterisk (*) for this purpose.
You can also use the SUBSYS
parameter to
specify the default version to load at startup.
