Creating user fields to specify additional information

You can create your own fields to specify additional information that you find useful to store about the operation. This information is stored in the Application Definition and Current Plan. User fields are not processed by HCL Workload Automation for Z and do not affect the operation execution, except for the reserved user field SUBJOBUSER (for details about this user field see Normal production jobs). However, the information is read by the following user exits:
  • EQQUX001
  • EQQUX002
  • EQQUX007
  • EQQJVXIT

For each user field you want to create, specify both a user field name (up to 16 characters) and a user field value (up to 54 characters). For each operation, you can specify up to a maximum of 120 user fields. You cannot use the same user field name twice in the same operation.

The user fields that you create are kept exactly as you type them. You cannot set the user field name to blank.
