Job restart

Job restart lets you restart the entire job and performs the appropriate cleanup actions. For more information about data set cleanup, see Data set cleanup. As you are restarting the job from the beginning, there is no simulation of preceding steps. There will also be no resolution of GDG relative numbers when normal JCLs are used. On the contrary, if expanded JCL is used, GDG resolution will always be applied. For detailed information, see JCL used for restart and GDG resolution.
