Canceling the scheduler

If HCL Workload Automation for Z is still active 5 minutes after you enter the STOP operator command, you must cancel HCL Workload Automation for Z.

You might also need to cancel HCL Workload Automation for Z if the current plan is corrupt, because a normal shutdown causes a backup to the alternate file (for details about current plan recovery, see Customization and Tuning). There are two ways to do this. The first is to enter: 
/C procname,DUMP
where procname is the HCL Workload Automation for Z JCL procedure name.
This causes HCL Workload Automation for Z to end with a dump on the SYSMDUMP file (if the DD name is in the started-task JCL). The second way is to enter: 
/C procname
where procname is the HCL Workload Automation for Z JCL procedure name.

This causes HCL Workload Automation for Z to end without a dump.

If the STOP command is ineffective and you have no earlier documentation of the problem, cancel HCL Workload Automation for Z with a dump so that the error can be located.
