Information to collect when you encounter application description problems
If you receive an error message related to JCL, gather
the following information, for any problem that you have.
- Reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to the problem.
Include any commands entered just before the problem occurred. Write down the exact events that lead to the problem:
- What was the first indication of the problem?
- What were you trying to do?
- What should have happened?
- What did happen?
- Can you re-create the problem?
- Obtain a copy of the Application Description and Work Station (WS) cluster files.
- Obtain a copy of the controller and server MLOGs.
- Obtain a copy of the DUMP data set, if available.
