Defining initialization statements
To customize the HCL Workload Automation for Z functions you must set the initialization statements, which determine the tasks that HCL Workload Automation for Z starts, how HCL Workload Automation for Z processes work, and the functions that you can use.

Storing the statements

HCL Workload Automation for Z initialization statements are kept in a parameter library that is identified by the EQQPARM DD statement in the JCL procedure.

The parameter library is a partitioned data set with a logical record length of 80 bytes. When you start HCL Workload Automation for Z, a member in the library containing initialization statements is read. This member is identified by the PARM parameter on the EXEC PGM=EQQMAJOR statement in the JCL procedure.
