Using the palette

In the palette you can find everything you need to create and deploy functioning job streams.

The palette is divided in two tabs:
Blocks

The Blocks tab houses job streams, jobs, wait jobs, and join conditions. Job streams can be dragged and dropped in the workspace, while other items can only be dropped inside job streams.

In this tab you can also find all the available job types divided in categories. You can add any number of jobs to job streams.

The Most used section displays the most frequently used items that have been already defined.

Assets

In this tab you can create item definitions, add defined items to a job stream, and perform actions on definitions saved in the database. You can define new assets by selecting Add new and choosing an asset type from the drop-down menu.

The items available in the Assets tab are:
  • Calendar
  • Credentials
  • Domain
  • Folder
  • Job definition
  • Job stream
  • Prompt
  • Resource
  • Run cycle group
  • Variable table
  • Workstation
  • Workstation class
You can use the search bar to find and reuse previously defined assets in your current workspace.
Actions on assets
You can perform a set of actions on the definitions saved in the database, which vary according to the type of item. To see the actions available for each existing definition, expand the item category and click on the three-dot menu next to the definition you want to perform an action on.
You can edit, duplicate, or delete the definitions. On job streams and jobs, you can also select the run action.
On job streams definitions, the New version action is available too. The New version action creates a new version of a job stream definition with the same reference as the existing one, and you can specify a new Valid from value.
Note: When adding blocks and assets to the workspace, you can specify their properties in their contextual properties panel.
