Service API Key with no group associated

This scenario covers the specific case where a Service API Key is created without assigning a group to it.

About this task

Creating a Service API Key without assigning a group to it results in the generation of a token that cannot authenticate any user. There is a procedure in place to enable the Service API Key:

Procedure

Copy the Service APY Key name
Edit or create the Access Control List or Security file adding a username/logon using the name of the Service API Key copied in step 1. Associate a role to the username

Results

The authentication of the Service API Key token is now based on the username assigned to it, rather than on a group.
