Installing the remote command-line client
Install the remote command-line client to run conman commands from any client workstation that can reach the master domain manager and authenticate successfully.
The remote command-line client is automatically installed with fault-tolerant agents and can be manually installed on any supported client workstation.
To install the client, perform the following steps:
- Ensure the operating system on the target workstation is supported. You can find an up-to-date list in the Supported Operating Systems report available at Product Requirements. Check the Components column to find out which operating systems support the remote command-line client.
- Ensure the workstation where you plan to install the remote command-line client can reach the master domain manager and authenticate successfully.
- Copy the compressed file for your target operating system to the workstation where you plan to install the remote command-line client.
- Decompress the file to a directory of your choice. The remote command-line client executable is stored in the bin directory.
