About this task
You want to define a Local License Server (LLS) for Flexera because your master domain manager cannot connect to the Internet.
The procedure varies depending on whether the master domain manager is using default or
custom certificates, as explained in:

About this task
If the master domain manager is using custom certificates, perform the following steps:
Procedure
- On the workstation where you plan to install the master domain manager, create a folder for storing the certificates.
- Within this folder, create a subfolder named additionalCAs.
- Obtain the certificates in .crt format from the Flexera administrator.
- Store the certificates for the LLS in the additionalCAs subfolder.
- Install the master domain manager as explained in Installing the master domain manager and backup master domain manager ensuring you use the --sslkeysfolder and --sslpassword parameters to specify the path to the master domain manager certificates and the related password.
Connection with a master domain manager using default certificates
About this task
If the master domain manager is using default certificates, perform the following steps:
Procedure
- On the workstation where you plan to install the master domain manager, create a folder for storing the certificates.
- Within this folder, create a subfolder named additionalCAs.
- Obtain the certificates in .crt format from the Flexera administrator.
- Store the certificates for the LLS in the additionalCAs subfolder.
- Ensure the depot is empty with the exception of the additionalCAs subfolder and of the files it contains.
- Install the master domain manager as explained in Installing the master domain manager and backup master domain manager ensuring you use the --sslkeysfolder parameter to specify the path to the certificates.
