Enabling jobs submission on z-centric and dynamic agents
Configure the Z controller to enable the submission of jobs on z-centric and dynamic agents.
About this task
On the controller, perform the following steps:
- From the EQQJOBS application menu, select option 1 to create the sample job JCL, and specify Y in the JAVA UTILITIES ENABLEMENT field (EQQJOBS9).
- From the EQQJOBS application menu, select option 2 to generate batch-job skeletons.
- Allocate the non-VSAM data set EQQFLEX (sample EQQPCS01).
- Run the EQQPCS08 sample job. To run this sample, you must have one of the following
permissions:
- UNIX System Services (USS ) user ID (UID) equal to 0
- BPX.SUPERUSER FACILITY class profile in RACF
- UID specified in the JCL in eqqUID and belonging to the group (GID) specified in the JCL in eqqGID
After running EQQPCS08, in the work directory you find the java/env.profile, which defines the environmental variable required by the Java utilities.
- In the JOBLIB, create the EQQFLEX job by copying the EQQFLEX member of the sample job JCL and customizing it.
- Upload the private key that you generated to secure communication between the
controller and license server in the java/privkeypk.pem file, located in the work
directory. (For details about how to generate the private key, see the procedure
documented in License computation model.)
If, for business reasons, you want to modify the name or location of the java/privkeypk.pem file, edit the EQQFLEX job in the JOBLIB.
