To undo difference resolutions

To undo difference resolutions

About this task

If you are merging, you can undo the resolution of differences between contributors. Perform one of the following actions:

Undo a single difference resolution.
1. Go to the difference. Use the buttons on the navigation toolbar or the corresponding commands on the Navigate menu.
2. Click any of the numbered buttons on the navigation toolbar, or click Edit > Undo Difference Resolution.
All numbered buttons on the navigation toolbar become available. The merge point in the Merge Results pane reverts to an unresolved state (merge needed is redisplayed replaces of the previous resolution).
Undo all difference resolutions.
1. Click Edit > Restart Merge.
This command eliminates all changes made to the Merge Results pane, including any text that you entered manually. None of these changes can be recovered.
