Cancel a hijack if it was not needed or to discard your
changes.
Procedure
To cancel a hijack on one or more files:
-
Select the hijacked files of interest.
Use the VersionVault Details view, VersionVault Search Results view, or the VersionVault Version Tree view. If you are working in the
Eclipse environment, use any Eclipse view that supports the Team context
menu.
-
To open the Undo Hijack dialog box, click the
icon on the VersionVault toolbar, or
take either of the following actions:
- Select Undo Hijack from the context menu in the VersionVault Details view or VersionVault Search Results view.
- In the Eclipse environment, select Undo Hijack from the
Team context menu.
- In the VersionVault Version Tree view,
right-click the hijacked version and click Undo Hijack.
- Select Keep a copy modified artifacts to
preserve a view-private copy of the file.
- Click OK.
Results
The selected versions are loaded from the VOB as checked-in
(read-only) files. If you selected Save a copy of the file
with a '.keep' extension, the contents of the hijacked
files are preserved as view-private files with names of the form filename.keep.
