Selecting a license server host
A license server host provides HCL VersionVault license access in a network. A license server host must be highly available to all hosts that rely on it for its licensing. Otherwise, those hosts become unable to run HCL VersionVault.
One or more hosts in the network can act as license server hosts.
- For HCL Licensing, see Configure HCL Licensing for information about configuring your license server host.
- For Atria Licensing, see Configure Atria Licensing for VersionVault for information about configuring your license server host.
- For Asynchronous Licensing, see Configure Asynchronous Licensing for information about configuring your license server host.
Administration is simpler when the license server and the registry server are on the same host.
