Assign and schedule work is shown as a workflow of the project manager. Assign and schedule work follows Establish policies and precedes Monitor project status.

This task is optional. As project manager, you are responsible for identifying and scheduling the high-level tasks for your project team. In some organizations, the project manager creates activities and assigns them to developers. In other organizations, the developers create their own activities.
