About setting up an HCL Compass user database

To use the UCM integration with HCL Compass for your project, set up an HCL Compass user database.

The steps to do the setup are typically completed by the HCL Compass user database administrator or the schema designer. You have the following options:

  • Take advantage of predefined schemas that HCL Compass includes. These are ready for use with UCM.
  • Enable a custom schema, or another predefined schema, to work with UCM. This allows you to use UCM with a current HCL Compass configuration. Because this integration is a dependent integration, you must add one or more packages in a specific order and perform additional configurations to the HCL Compass user database.
