Defining a computer running Linux or the UNIX system as a backup registry host
About this task
Use the following procedure to define a computer running Linux or the UNIX system as a backup
registry host.
- Log on to the host. You must log on as root to have privileges to stop or start HCL
VersionVault, or to create directories and files in the
/var
partition of most hosts. - Stop HCL VersionVault.
- Edit the file /var/adm/hcl/versionvault/config/rgy_hosts.conf. The first line of this file is the name of the host’s registry server. Add a second line that is the host name of the host itself.
- Restart HCL VersionVault.
