Starting and stopping HCL VersionVault on Linux and the UNIX system
When Linux or the UNIX system is started, the HCL
VersionVault startup script versionvault-home-dir/etc/versionvault is run by the
init program. The startup script does the following:
- Starts the host’s albd_server process.
- Starts a lockmgr process for any VOBs on the host.
- Performs additional setup tasks, such as mounting public VOBs.
The root user can run the versionvault
script to stop or start HCL
VersionVault at any time. For example:
# versionvault-home-dir/etc/versionvault stop
Stops HCL VersionVault.
# versionvault-home-dir/etc/versionvault start
Starts HCL VersionVault.
