Upgrading HCL VersionVault in non-global zones

To upgrade HCL VersionVault in an environment that is configured with non-global zones, follow the steps in this procedure.

About this task

Before you can upgrade a non-global zone, you must stop VersionVault in all such zones and upgrade the global zone. If the non-global zone that you are upgrading is a branded zone, verify that the intended VersionVault version supports the operating systems of both the branded and global zones.

Procedure

  1. Stop instances of HCL VersionVault on all non-global zones.
  2. On the global zone:
    1. Stop HCL VersionVault.
    2. Upgrade HCL VersionVault.
    3. Restart HCL VersionVault.
  3. On each non-global zone:
    1. Upgrade HCL VersionVault.
    2. Restart HCL VersionVault.

Results

After you complete the upgrade, you can resume HCL VersionVault operations.
