Managing the VersionVault WAN server connection from Visual Studio
You can connect to and disconnect from the VersionVault WAN server from the Visual Studio IDE.
Before you begin
About this task
In the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE views where the VersionVault menus are available, you can connect and
disconnect the VersionVault WAN
server from:
- The Connect option on the VersionVault menu
- The VersionVault - Web toolbar
- The pop-up menu of the web views that are listed in
- The pop-up menu of the solutions that are listed under the
- The pop-up menu of the File and Project, Solution actions that are listed in Solution Explorer.
Note: When the VersionVault WAN
server is disconnected, VersionVault operations that depend on a server connection
are not available on the VersionVault menus in
Visual Studio. For example, the Check In and Check Out
options are not shown on the VersionVault menus in
Visual Studio when the server is disconnected.
