New features and changes in version 26.1.0
Java 17 Upgrade for Campaign
Unica+ v26.1 upgrades Campaign's underlying runtime to Java 17, ensuring compatibility with the latest LTS release and improved performance, security, and long-term support. This upgrade modernises the application stack and aligns Campaign with current enterprise Java standards. Customers are advised to review any custom JVM configurations or third-party integrations that may be affected prior to upgrading.
Introducing a New Theme for Campaign
Campaign now ships with the refreshed Unica+ visual theme, delivering a consistent and modern look-and-feel across the Unica product suite. The updated theme improves readability, accessibility, and brand alignment for all Campaign UI screens. No additional configuration is required — the theme is applied automatically upon upgrading to v26.1.
Trino UserDB Integration via Simba ODBC Driver
Campaign user datasources now support connectivity to Trino via the Simba ODBC driver, enabling organisations to leverage Trino's distributed SQL query engine directly within Campaign. This addition expands the range of supported data sources for audience selection and segmentation workflows. Administrators can configure the Simba ODBC driver for Trino through the standard Campaign datasource setup screens.
Google BigQuery OAuth 3 Support via Simba ODBC
The Simba ODBC driver for Google BigQuery now supports OAuth 3 authentication within Campaign, providing a more secure and standards-compliant method for connecting to BigQuery datasources. This enhancement removes the need to manage long-lived service account keys, reducing credential exposure risk. Existing BigQuery datasource configurations should be reviewed and updated to leverage the new OAuth 3 authentication flow.
Hive, Hadoop & Ranger: ODBC + Kerberos Per-User Authentication
Secured single-node Hadoop cluster on RHEL, integrating HDFS, YARN, Hive, MIT Kerberos, Apache Ranger, and Cloudera ODBC. This covers Kerberos principal/keytab creation, LinuxContainerExecutor configuration, and fine-grained Ranger authorization policies. The end result is a fully authenticated and authorized data platform where clients connect via ODBC using Kerberos tickets, with optional user impersonation via DelegationUID.
Microsoft Azure SQL Server with AD Account Authentication as UserDB
Campaign now supports database connections authenticated through Active Directory (AD) accounts, addressing enterprise requirements. This capability allows organisations to enforce centralised identity governance and eliminates the need for separate database credentials per user. AD-based authentication is configured at the datasource level and integrates with existing enterprise directory services.
Snowflake UserDB Integration with Unica Campaign User Data Source
Snowflake is now a supported platform for Campaign user datasource, reflecting its widespread adoption as a cloud data warehouse in enterprise marketing environments. This designation guarantees fully tested, production-grade connectivity and dedicated support for Snowflake-based audience data within Campaign. Customers can configure Snowflake as a user datasource with confidence in its supported and maintained status going forward.
Campaign AI support
Campaign AI turns past campaign performance into intelligent starting points, exactly when you need it. All you have to do is write campaign brief in plain language and MaxAI identifies the intent and searches historical flowcharts. Upon identification, MaxAI offers you the the following options:
Proven Flow, where a high-performing historical campaign flowcharts, aligned to your objective, are recommended to you by AI that are ranked by conversion outcome. These recommendations have transparent DELTA and shows where it differs from your brief.
Optimize Agentic AI support through MaxAI
Optimize now includes Agentic AI support through MaxAI, enabling users to create, manage, and analyze optimization sessions using natural language. MaxAI converts conversational requirements into optimization rules for scenarios such as channel capacity, contact fatigue, offer sequencing, and email budget optimization. This AI-driven approach eliminates complex manual configuration and streamlines optimization setup through an interactive, guided experience.
