Installing the IBM Traveler server

Several steps are required to install IBM® Traveler server on IBM i operating systems.
Enabling IBM® Traveler using a 64-bit JVM on IBM®
IBM Traveler uses 32 bit JVM by default. There are two methods to enable 64 bit JVM.

Enabling IBM® Traveler using a 64-bit JVM on IBM®

IBM Traveler uses 32 bit JVM by default. There are two methods to enable 64 bit JVM.

Setting JAVA_HOME to the following value in Notes.ini.

JAVA_HOME=/QOpenSys/QIBM/ProdData/JavaVM/jdk60/64bit

Setting JavaUse64BitJVM to the following value in Notes.ini.

JavaUse64BitJVM=1
```
Note: There is no need to manually set JAVA_HOME when using this method.

Ensure that IBM® Developer Kit for Java™ V6 J9 64-bit is installed and that the configuration will also enable all other Domino® jobs using 64-bit JVM.

Note: IBM i uses the JVM at the OS level. You should upgrade the system JVM to the latest Java Group PTF on IBM i system from IBM i Support PSP - Group PTFs.
