Welcome to the HCL Traveler 14.5.1 documentation. Here you can find information on how to install and configure a Traveler server and to use the clients supported by the server including HCL Verse mobile clients. This documentation applies to Traveler 14.5.1.

Running the HCL Traveler server installation program on IBM® i

Run the installation program on the machine where you plan to install an HCL Traveler Server.

You should already have installed Domino®, downloaded the HCL Traveler server installation package, and created the appropriate save files.

Note: When installing Traveler or a Traveler fixpack follow the instructions for matching the main target Domino version. Domino fixpacks are not used for determining the target. For example, if installing Traveler 14.5.1 or 14.0 FP1 on Domino 14.0 FP2 follow the instructions for installing on Domino 14.0.0.

Use the IBM® i command line to install the HCL Traveler server programs:

Log in using a profile with *ALLOBJ and *SECADM authority.
Stop the Domino server hosting HCL Traveler.
From the IBM® i command line, run the appropriate command for installing from a downloaded image.
1. Use the RSTLICPGM command to install Traveler 14.5.1 from the save files you created when you downloaded the installation package.
  This example uses the save file trav140501/QNTSINSTF to install for Domino 14.5.1:

2. When you are prompted, accept the HCL Traveler software agreement.
Note: The RSTLICPGM command is also used to install updates to the HCL Traveler programs.
