Messaging services
Messaging services enable a web application server to send messages from a wired network to a client in a wireless network.
Messaging services support several types of message modes: short message service (SMS), short message delivery over proprietary networks, and simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP). Examples of message operations might be news, stock quotes, weather, broadcast messages, and notification of events such as email arrival.
You can configure only one messaging services per SafeLinx Server. Messaging services require an ODBC-compliant relational database is used to store session data. If you choose to store session data in the local file system, you cannot add messaging services to the SafeLinx Server.
To add messaging services, from the Resources pane, right-click the SafeLinx Server to which you want to add services, and then click .
