Directory service servers
A directory service server (DSS) is a resource that designates an external user account database, such as an LDAP server, and provides information on how to connect to it.
The SafeLinx Server connects to a configured LDAP directory to load, use, and modify specific attributes in its user records.
The DSS record is primarily used by LDAP-bind authentication profiles. The SafeLinx Server contacts the server that you specify in the authentication profile so that it can process LDAP-bind authentication requests from clients. An LDAP-bind authentication profile can control the authentication for SafeLinx Clients that connect through a mobile network connection (MNC) or for applications that connect to an HTTP access service.
