Create the plug-ins in Eclipse

HCL OneTest™ API recognizes functions that are packaged as Eclipse plug-ins. You can create a plug-in and register it as a function in HCL OneTest™ API from an Eclipse IDE.

If you do not have an Eclipse IDE, then create a function without Eclipse. See Creating a function plug-in without Eclipse.

Note: You can create multiple functions in a single plug-in by adding an extension for each function implementation.

Prerequisites

The Eclipse Plug-in Development Environment (PDE) simplifies the creation of plug-ins. If it is not already loaded, you can download the PDE from http://www.eclipse.org/pde/downloads.
