HTTP transport
HCL OneTest™ API provides access to HTTP and HTTPS-based communications through an extension of its transport mechanism.
As with any other transport, the HTTP transport includes both logical and physical configurations. Tests and stubs are associated with the logical web server, which represents an abstraction of a web server and is the same for all environments. The physical web server configuration includes connection details, and you can configure a different physical web server for each environment.
Standard HTTP and HTTPS operations (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE, HEAD, OPTIONS, PATCH) are supported by HCL OneTest™ API.
You can configure the settings in a client to route HTTP and HTTPS traffic directly to the system under test, or through a proxy. For more information about the HTTP proxy, see HTTP/TCP proxy setup.
