The ifx_lo_alter() function
The ifx_lo_alter() function alters the storage characteristics of a smart large object.
Syntax
ifx_lo_alter(loptr, lospec)
Arguments
The function accepts the following
arguments.

Usage
The ifx_lo_alter() function
performs the following steps to update the storage characteristics
of a smart large object:
- Gets an exclusive lock for the smart large object.
- Uses the characteristics that are in the lospec smart-large-object
specification structure to update the storage characteristics of the
smart large object. The ifx_lo_alter() function
lets you change the following storage characteristics:
- Logging characteristics
- Last-access time characteristics
- Extent size
- Unlocks the smart large object.
As an alternative to calling this function, you can call
one of the following functions if you want to change only one of these
characteristics:
- ifx_lo_specset_flags()
- ifx_lo_specset_extsz()
