Connectivity files
The connectivity files contain the information that enables client/server communication and enable a database server to communicate with another database server.
The connectivity configuration files can be divided into
three groups:
- Network-configuration files
- Network security files
- The sqlhosts file
Windows: On the database server,
the connectivity information is stored in the sqlhosts file;
however, on clients the connectivity information is stored in the
SQLHOSTS registry.
Windows: The connectivity information is stored in the SQLHOSTS
registry, not in the sqlhosts file.
