The Informix® JDBC Driver

All UDRs written in Java code can access the database server data through the HCL Informix® JDBC Driver application programming interface (API). This section briefly describes the Informix® implementation of the API and the server-side .

Generally, the HCL® Informix® server-side derives from the client-side driver so that the two drivers are essentially the same. Java UDRs require some differences, however, to use the from the server side. This section describes the public interfaces and subprotocols that the provides specifically for server-side applications, and restrictions that apply to server-side applications. For principal documentation of the HCL Informix® JDBC Driver, see the HCL® Informix® JDBC Driver Programmer's Guide.
