Installing your DataBlade® module on UNIX™
How you install your DataBlade® module depends on when it was released; the installation process for DataBlade® modules released after the beginning of 2007 is different from the installation process for DataBlade® modules released before 2007.
About this task
The DataBlade® module software is installed in the directory $INFORMIXDIR/extend/datablade.version, where datablade is the project name and version is the version number. For example, a Map DataBlade® module with a version of 4.13.UC4 would be in $INFORMIXDIR/extend/map.4.13.UC4.
If
the DataBlade® module
package you are installing has multiple DataBlade® modules,
each module is unloaded into a separate directory. Each directory
has its own installation script. Move to each directory using the cd command
and run the installation script. The order of installation does not
matter.
Important: After you install your DataBlade® module,
read the online notes in the /doc directory in
the DataBlade® directory.
