Components no longer included in this release
The following components are no longer included in Domino 14.
Things you need to know in Domino 14.0
- As a result of supporting only the 64-bit Admin client, the following
components are removed from the Admin client:
- Java applets for Mail and Replication
- The Server > Performance tab, which includes real-time/historical statistic monitoring, Activity Trends, and Change Manager
- Health monitoring functionality
- RMEval task
- The following Warning messages are displayed by the JVM in the Domino server
and Notes client wherever the internal Java code makes the
System::setSecurityManager()
API call. These messages do NOT indicate a functional failure and are noted here just for awareness:- WARNING: A terminally deprecated method in java.lang.System has been called
- WARNING: System::setSecurityManager has been called by lotus.notes.AgentSecurityManager (file:/C:/HCL/Domino/ndext/Notes.jar)
- WARNING: Please consider reporting this to the maintainers of lotus.notes.AgentSecurityManager
- WARNING: System::setSecurityManager will be removed in a future release
- In this version of the Domino Administrator client, the Web Administration Servers bookmark button in the side navigation, as well as menu items and dialog boxes related to adding and removing servers from Web Administration bookmarks, are removed.
- The Domino Configuration Tuner (DCT) NSF will no longer be displayed (if present) in the Admin client Server > Analysis tab.
- The Directory Upgrade Service (DUS) is removed, so the migrate button will no longer appear in the registration UI.
- The Tivoli Federated Identity Manager (TFIM) is removed from idpcat.nsf, so it will no longer appear as an IdP option.
