Testing Notes federated login
If you enable Notes federated login, use your test user to test that it is working.
Before you begin
- Disable Notes shared login for the user, if enabled.
Procedure
- Start the Notes client and sign in with Notes ID password.
- When you see the prompt Downloading ID file from Vault to enable Notes federated login, click OK.
- If Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA) is not enabled, the IdP sign-in form is shown. Provide the IdP name and password.
- When you see the prompt This ID file is enabled for Notes federated login, click OK.
Results
After completing these steps, you see the following behavior:
- The IdP authenticates you in the background.
- The Notes client opens its home page without any password prompt.
- When you select in the client, the User Securities box opens without prompting for a password.
- The User Securities box shows the following message:
Your ID is not stored on disk. It was downloaded from ID vault and is in memory.
