Connecting Notes clients to servers
After you set up a server to accept inbound connections, it can accept them from both servers and clients. The methods used to establish connections from clients to servers on remote networks are similar to those used when connecting one server to another.
To connect to a remote IBM® Domino® server, clients may require Connection documents, and depending on the type of connection, might also require a modem, COM port information, and other data, documents, and files. You can also connect clients to non-Domino Internet servers.
The following table provides information on other types of information required to create client-to-server connections.
Type of client and connection to Domino network | Required documents in the Personal Address Book | Additional files and information required |
---|---|---|
IBM Notes client connecting directly to Domino network over LAN, cable data network, or digital subscriber line (DSL) |
