Using Domino Administrator Help
Because Domino Administrator Help is a Notes application, you can use familiar Notes gestures to find information.
To perform basic tasks in Help
- To open Help to the table of contents, choose from the main menu.
- To get help on your current task, choose , click the Help button in a dialog box, or click the question mark in a properties box.
- Blue underlined text represents a link to related information. Click blue underlined text to jump to a topic or section that contains this information. To return to where you were, click the Go Back arrow in the window toolbar.
- To find an entry in the Index view of Help, click Index, type as many letters as you want of the entry, and click OK. Click the green icon specific to any index entry to expand its topics.
- To search for a word or phrase in any Help topic, click Search and type your query in the Search bar. You can drag the edge of the Search bar to show more search options.
- To bookmark a topic, right-click anywhere in the topic and choose Bookmark.
- To close Help when Always on Top is selected and a dialog box is open, press ESC.
Macintosh users
To get help on your current task, press Command-? or click Help.

Editing and printing Help topics
To suit the needs of your site, you can create a replica of this database and edit its documents strictly for the use of users within your organization. You cannot resell or otherwise distribute this documentation, modified or unmodified, to anyone outside your organization. IBM® assumes no responsibility for the technical accuracy of any modifications made to this documentation or the operation of IBM software in reliance on such modifications.
To print a single Help topic
- Do one of the following:
- Click anywhere within the topic in the topic frame, and then choose .
- Select the title of the topic in the view frame, and then choose .
- Make sure Selected documents is selected under What to print and click OK.
To print multiple topics
- Press Shift while selecting topic titles in the view frame.
- Choose .
- Make sure Selected documents is selected under What to print and click OK.
To print the Table of Contents or Search results
- If printing the Table of Contents, choose .
- Choose .
- Select Print view, and click OK.
Getting Help when there is no Help
If you choose
or , and see a message saying Help database cannot be located, ask your organization's Domino® administrator to add the Help databases to your mail server, or to provide you with local Help file(s).Restoring links in Administrator Help after copying or moving the file
If you copy or move the Administrator Help database through your operating system, links in the database may no longer work. If this happens, you can work around the problem by removing the application icon from your workspace, exiting and restarting the Notes or Administrator client, reopening the client, and re-opening the Help database so that it is re-added to the workspace.
