Associating an on-disk project with a new NSF
This topic describes how to associate an on-disk project with a new NSF.
About this task
Let us say you need to help a co-worker on a new application that is being built. The application has been already been checked into source control by the original developer but now you need to pull down the application to begin working on it yourself.
One way to do this is to associate the on-disk project with a new NSF. Use the following steps to do this:
Procedure
- To associate the on-disk project with a new NSF, right-click on the newly created on-disk project and select Team Development - Associate with New NSF... This brings up the Associate with New NSF... dialog which asks for the name of application and the location where you want it to be created..
- If the location is a Local server, use the Browse button to open the Local file system directories.
- If the location is a remote server, the Browse button appears with a dialog listing the folders that can be selected.
- By default, the NSF and on-disk project will automatically be kept in synch.
