This section lists documentation that you may find useful as you learn about and use the various Connectors.

Note: Two of the four HCL Enterprise Integrator (HEI) user documentation files (Connectors and Connectivity Guide - lccon.nsf and Connector LotusScript® Extensions Guide - lsxlc.nsf) are also part of the Domino® Enterprise Connection Services (DECS) documentation set. To obtain these two documentation databases, you must either install DECS or perform a custom install of the Domino® server and select the DECS User Assistance option.

HEI Documentation

Documentation for HEI is available with the product. The HEI documentation set is as follows:

  • HCL Enterprise Integrator® for Domino® (HEI) Activities and User Guide -- Provides information and instructions for using HEI and its Activities (leidoc.nsf).
  • HCL Enterprise Integrator for Domino® (HEI) Installation Guide -- Provides installation, configuration, and migration instructions for HEI (leiig.nsf).
  • Connectors and Connectivity Guide -- Provides information on how to set up and use the supplied connectors, including information about required software and instructions for testing connectivity (lccon.nsf).
  • Connector LotusScript® Extensions Guide -- Describes the Connector LotusScript® Extensions, which can be used in writing scripted sessions for accessing enterprise data (lsxlc.nsf).
  • HCL Enterprise Integrator for Domino® (HEI) Release Notes® --The release notes (readme.txt) contain information about the current release of HEI that may not be included in the documentation set as well as the specific platforms and versions supported in this HEI release.

DECS Documentation

Documentation for DECS is available with the product. The DECS documentation set is as follows:

  • Domino® Enterprise Connection Services User's Guide -- Provides information and instructions for using DECS (decsdoc.nsf).
  • Connectors and Connectivity Guide -- Provides information on how to set up and use the supplied connectors, including information about required software and instructions for testing connectivity (lccon.nsf).
  • Connector LotusScript® Extensions Guide -- Describes the Connector LotusScript® Extensions, which can be used in writing scripted sessions for accessing enterprise data (lsxlc.nsf).
  • Domino® Release Notes® -- The release notes for DECS are contained in the Domino® release notes.

For more information about related tools, refer to the following documents:

  • Domino® Administrators Guide -- Provides information for configuring and administering a Domino® installation.
  • LotusScript® Language Reference -- Provides information about writing LotusScript® programs. This is useful when using the LSX to write customized activities.
  • Additional Domino® Connector Documentation -- HCL software sells additional connectors for enterprise systems including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Transaction Processing Systems. Specific documentation about these connectors is included with the connector software and package. You may need documentation for the specific databases, ERP, and transaction processing systems that you are using.
  • The DB2® product editions are supplied with a library of online documentation. These contain introductory information, general terms, and error messaging descriptions. There are also many DB2® books available for download from HCL.
