    HCL Digital Experience provides a single access point to web content and applications, while it delivers differentiated, personalized experiences per user.
  - Supported migration paths
    Migration is supported between equivalent offerings. Starting with CF17, additional migration options are supported for HCL Portal server and HCL Web Content Manager offerings.

    New and existing users need to sign up or register at HCL Software and download their HCL Digital Experience package.

    HCL Digital Experience provides flexible deployment options that range from proof-of-concept where you can examine and test functionality to a highly available and scalable production environment. Review the planning information to learn more about hardware and software requirements, high availability, scalability, supported topologies, and much more. Select your operating system and then select the installation pattern that most reflects your business needs.

Getting the software | HCL Digital Experience

New and existing users need to sign up or register at HCL Software and download their HCL Digital Experience package.

Product software can be accessed from the HCL Software Licensing Portal. Additional guidance is available here: Step-by-step guide to downloading DX products and accessing Customer Support.

Installation paths

The following are the paths that you will start from depending on your current scenario:

Fresh full installation (for new customers or for a new system)
Updating an existing HCL Digital Experience 8.5 system

Fresh full installation

For a fresh full installation, follow the installation path:

IBM® Installation Manager
IBM® WebSphere® Application Server 9.0
HCL Portal 8.5
HCL Digital Experience CF13
HCL Portal 9.0
Corresponding edition files (HCL Portal Enable, HCL Portal Extend, HCL Portal Server, and HCL Portal Express)

After installing the IBM® Installation Manager, users need to configure the repositories for IBM® WebSphere Application Server 9.0, HCL Portal 8.5, HCL Digital Experience CF13, HCL Portal 9.0 and the corresponding edition files.

Update an existing HCL Digital Experience Version 8.5 system

The path from an existing HCL Digital Experience 8.5 system to HCL Digital Experience Version 9.0 is to download CF13 as well as the Version 9.0 files. Then install the cumulative fix via the usual CF process.
