Trigerring an immediate sync when enabling an integration
To ensure critical data is available immediately after setting up or updating an integration, you can trigger an initial synchronization upon enabling it, eliminating delays while preserving the regular scheduled sync interval for subsequent updates.
About this task
The plugin synchronizes data according to its configured sync interval. You can configure an integration to start a synchronization immediately when you enable it instead of waiting for the next sync interval.
To enable this behavior, you must select the Immediate Sync on Enable option when you create an integration or edit an existing integration.
The immediate synchronization does not change the configured plugin sync interval. After the immediate synchronization completes, the integration continues to synchronize according to the regular plugin sync interval.
Procedure
- Create a new integration or edit an existing integration.
-
Select the Immediate Sync on Enable option.
Select this option if you want the integration to synchronize data immediately when you enable it.
- Save the integration configuration.
-
Enable the integration.
If Immediate Sync on Enable is selected, the integration starts a data synchronization immediately after you enable it. The synchronization does not wait for the next plugin sync interval.
After the immediate synchronization, the integration continues to synchronize according to the configured plugin sync interval.
If Immediate Sync on Enable is not selected, the integration waits for the next plugin sync interval before it synchronizes data.
Results
You have configured the plugin to trigger immediate synchronization after you enable integration.
