Stopping or unregistering the personal agent

You can stop or unregister the personal agent when you no longer need the agent to run tests.

Before you begin

You must have added the personal agent in your team space, and it must be in the active state. See Installing and starting the personal agent.

Procedure

Perform the steps by using one of the following two methods:
  • Stop the agent through the Test Editor page.
    1. Log in to Test Hub on the system that you want to register as an agent.

      The Projects page of the initial team space is displayed.

    2. Click My projects > project_name to open the project that contains the test assets.

      The Overview page of the project is displayed.

    3. Click Author > Test Editor.

      The Test Editor page and the test navigator panel are displayed.

    4. Click the Personal Agent Active button located in the page title bar next to the branch selector.

      The Stop DevOps Test Runtime dialog opens.

    5. Click Yes to stop the agent.

      The personal agent button changes to Personal Agent Inactive, and the tooltip displays the following message when hovered over:

      Personal Agent Inactive - Click to launch . This message indicates that the agent is inactive.

  • Unregister the agent through the Agents and Intercepts page.
    1. Open the Initial Team Space page and then navigate to the Infrastructure > Agents and Intercepts page.
    2. View the personal agent that is listed with the personal:username name.
      If the list is long, you can search for the agent by entering the name of the agent in the Search field.
      Note:
      You can enter either the full name or any text that is in the name. The search is enabled for case-sensitive text that you can enter.
    3. Identify the agent, and then click the Remove agent icon Image of the delete icon..

      The Unregister DevOps Test Runtime dialog opens.

    4. Click Unregister to remove the agent.

Results

You have stopped or unregistered the personal agent. The agent will not be available as a location to run tests till you start it again.
