Auto-assigning generators and AI-provided data configurations to data definitions in the Schema View
You can use AI assistance to automatically assign generators and AI-provided data configurations to the fields in data definitions within the Schema View.
Before you begin
You must have completed the following tasks:
- Ensured that you are assigned a Team Space Owner, Project Owner, or Member with a Tester role to create or edit a test resource.
- Read and understood the information in Edit branch overview and Create or select an Edit branch.
- Ensured that your project contains a Web UI test or suite.
- Ensured that the required variables have been created and are included in your Web UI test or suite.
- Ensured that your project contains a dataset.
- Ensured that you have configured the required AI provider credentials. For more information, see Adding cloud credentials of AI providers.
About this task
When a schema contains multiple data definitions and fields, manually assigning generators and configuring them can be time-consuming. AI-based inference analyzes the available field information and recommends suitable generators and data configurations for the selected data definitions.
Note:
Existing generators remain unchanged unless you select the
option to overwrite them.
Procedure

Log in to Test Hub.
The Projects page of the initial team space is displayed.

Click to open the project that contains the test assets.
The Overview page of the project is displayed.

Click .
The Data page and the data navigator panel are displayed.

Select the schema that you want to edit in the data navigator panel.
The selected schema opens in the Data page.

Click the Edit button.
The Edit branch dialog is displayed.

Select your action to either select an existing Edit branch or create
an Edit branch:
- Perform the following steps to select an existing Edit
branch:
- Select Use an existing edit branch.
- Select an Edit branch from the Select
branch list if Edit branches already
exist for your repository.Note:A warning message is displayed if the Edit branch, which you selected, is behind the source branch. To update the selected edit branch and maintain synchronization with the source branch, you can select the Update branch option when switching checkbox.
- Click Ok.
- Perform the following steps to create the Edit branch:
- Select Create new edit branch.
- Enter a name for the Edit branch in the Branch Name field.
- Click Save.
- Perform the following steps to select an existing Edit
branch:

Click the Update Schema icon
.

Click the Update icon
.

Select the Assign generators to fields checkbox.
The AI Provider option is displayed.

Select the configured AI Provider from the drop-down
list.
Note:When you select an AI provider, sample data from the selected tables is shared with the AI service to configure generators.
- Optional: Select the Overwrite existing generators checkbox to overwrite the existing generators.

Click Update.
Note:Verify the AI-provided generator configurations to ensure their accuracy, as AI-produced data might contain errors.
