Adding an encrypted dataset to a classification
As a project Project Owner or Tester, you can organize encrypted datasets by adding it to a classification so that project members can use and protect datasets more efficiently.
Before you begin
You must have completed the following tasks:
- Ensured that you are assigned a role as a Viewer, Tester, or Project Owner in the project.
- Created a project in Test Hub. See Managing DevOps Test Hub projects.
- Configured the repository that contains the test assets in your project. See Adding repositories to a server project.
- Created at least one dataset and encrypted the dataset with an encryption key. See Dataset encryption.
- Created at least one classification. See Creating a classification.
Procedure
-
Log in to Test Hub.
The team space that contains your project is displayed.
-
Click
to open the project that contains the test assets.
The Overview page of the project is displayed.
-
Click
.The Security page is displayed.
-
Click Add Dataset to select the encrypted dataset to
become part of the classification.
The Add Dataset dialog is displayed.
-
Perform the following steps:
- Click the Encrypted dataset field to view the encrypted dataset.
- Identify and select the encrypted dataset that you wanted to add to the classification.
- Enter the encryption key that you used to encrypt the dataset in the
Password field.Tip: You can click the view icon to view the entered encryption key and ensure that you entered the correct key.
- Click Add.
The encrypted dataset that is added to the classification is displayed.
- You can add other encrypted datasets to the same classification, if required.
What to do next
You can grant access to other project members to use the encrypted dataset. See Granting access to classification.
