Adding a Jira Software server URL
You must first add the URL of the server on which you have installed Jira Software on the Integration page of HCL OneTest™ Server. You must copy the API keys that are generated by HCL OneTest™ Server to be used to authenticate HCL OneTest™ Server as the application to connect in Jira.
Before you begin

Read about the prerequisite tasks in Prerequisites.
- Verified that you can access the Jira server.
- Ensured that you are assigned a role of a Project Owner in the project. See Managing access to the server projects.
- Created a project in your team space in HCL OneTest™ Server. See Adding a project.
Procedure

Log in to HCL OneTest™ Server.
The team space that contains your project is displayed.

Click
to open the project that contains the test assets.
The Overview page of the project is displayed.

Click
in the navigation pane.The Integration page is displayed.
- Click the CHANGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM tab.

Click Add New, and then select the Jira
Software option from the list.
The Add Jira server dialog is displayed.

Enter the URL of the Jira server in the URL of the Jira
server field, and then click Add.
HCL OneTest™ Server verifies the connection with the Jira server and generates the API keys, which are displayed on the Copy the generated keys dialog.
- Click the Copy icon in the Public Key field to copy the key, and then paste the copied key into a text file.
- Click the Copy icon in the Consumer Key field to copy the key, and then paste the copied key into a text file.
Results
What to do next
You must share the public and consumer keys with the administrator of the Jira server to set up an application link in Jira to HCL OneTest™ Server. However, if you are an administrator of the Jira server, you can set up an application link in the Jira server. See Setting up an application link in the Jira server.
