Exporting data

You can export data from a DevOps Plan database.

About this task

To export data from a database-supported application other than DevOps Plan, you must use the database vendor tool. See Creating a DevOps Plan import file.

To export data from an existing DevOps Plan database, use the Export feature available in either the DevOps Plan Client. The Export wizard extracts data from a DevOps Plan database into a format optimized for the Import wizard.

To prevent data corruption, take care when exporting or importing data between databases that do not have the same data code page value. If imported data might corrupt the database, an error message is displayed. For more information, see the topics listed for exporting records and queries in the online help for the DevOps Plan Client.
