Loop Genie overview - Tech Preview
Loop Genie is an AI-powered, multi-agent assistant integrated into DevOps Loop. It provides a unified conversational interface to perform tasks and retrieve information across multiple DevOps Loop capabilities.
Loop Genie tasks
You can use Loop Genie to run predefined and custom tasks, to automate multistep processes across DevOps Loop capabilities. The Tasks tab in Loop Genie provides a centralized view of predefined and user-defined tasks that you can run to automate DevOps workflows.
Running a predefined Loop Genie task
You can run predefined Loop Genie tasks that are available in the Tasks tab to run AI-assisted DevOps workflows through configured prompts and toolsets.

  You can use Loop Genie, an AI assistant, to retrieve information or perform tasks across multiple capabilities and loops within DevOps Loop. The results or actions are displayed directly in the chat interface.

Running a predefined Loop Genie task

You can run predefined Loop Genie tasks that are available in the Tasks tab to run AI-assisted DevOps workflows through configured prompts and toolsets.

Before you begin

You must have completed the following tasks:

Created a loop
Configured Loop Genie with at least one AI provider.
Verified that predefined tasks are available in the Tasks tab in Loop Genie.

Procedure

Click the button.
A chat interface is displayed.
Navigate to the Tasks tab and select a task.
The task opens in the Chat tab with its details and available steps. You can choose a suggested step or enter a new instruction.
Select the step.

The task runs and returns results based on the predefined System Prompt and toolsets defined in Task's markdown file.
Review the results.

Results

You have successfully run a predefined Loop Genie task and received results based on the configured prompts and toolsets.
