In this tutorial, you create a project that builds distributable artifacts and loads them into HCL DevOps Deploy (Deploy) components. The source code is downloaded from GitHub and built with Ant.

Jobs are the core building blocks of Build. Process definitions assemble jobs into the basic unit of automation. A process definition determines how, when, and where jobs run.
Managing Project Templates
Project templates are reusable plans that map build processes.
Monitoring and Reporting
With the monitoring tools you can review current and historical activity and save your filter conditions for future use. You can create charts and reports from most database tables.
Extending Product Functions
You can create your own plug-ins to extend the product’s capabilities.

Lesson 8: Verifying the build results

Check the component version that was created by the tutorial project in HCL DevOps Deploy (Deploy).

Before you begin

Run the project that is described in the previous lesson and ensure the build life status is Complete.

About this task

The build that you ran in the previous lesson loaded artifacts into an Deploy component version and assigned a status of success to it. In this lesson, you review the component version in Deploy.

Procedure

Access the instance of Deploy that you configured for the tutorial project.
From the Deploy Dashboard, click Components, and then click the Ant component you created for the tutorial.
Click Versions.
The component version that the tutorial project created is listed on the Versions tab. The component version status is listed in the Statuses column. The tutorial project assigns Success status to the component version, as shown in this figure:
The version number corresponds to the stamp that you created in the Ant Build Job.

What to do next

The artifacts that the tutorial project created are loaded in Deploy. To see the actual artifacts, expand the dist artifact set that you defined in the project, as shown in this figure: The component artifacts
