Creating a teamspace

You can create a teamspace in HCL DevOps Loop to provide your team with a dedicated, secure workspace that automatically spans across all the integrated applications like Plan, Control, Code, Test, Deploy, and Measure.

Before you begin

You must have administrative privileges in DevOps Loop.

About this task

When you first log in to DevOps Loop, you are directed to the Initial TeamSpace assigned to your account. You can access the integrated applications within this workspace and create a new Teamspace to collaborate with other members, manage projects independently, organize team-specific resources, and initiate loop creation.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DevOps Loop.
The Home page of the Initial TeamSpace is displayed, along with the My Loops and Solutions tabs.
  2. Click the Create TeamSpace option on the My Loops tab.

Alternatively, select the Switch Teamspace icon and click + Create TeamSpace.

The Teamspace creation page is displayed along with the Define Teamspace and Invite Members tabs.
  3. Perform the following steps in the Define Teamspace tab.
    1. Provide a name in Enter Teamspace Name. The maximum character limit is 20.
    2. Optional: Provide a brief description of the teamspace in Description.
  4. Click Next.
The Invite Members tab is displayed.
  5. Perform the following steps in the Invite Members tab.
    1. Search members with a valid email address or select them from the dropdown list and click Add.
    2. Type the email address of the members who are not in the Keycloak user directory and click Add.
  6. Click Create.

The Teamspace setup progress page is displayed, showing each phase of the setup. DevOps Loop begins provisioning the TeamSpace across all integrated applications.

    • If the members already exist in the Keycloak user directory, they are directly added as members in the teamspace.

    • If the members do not exist in the Keycloak user directory, an invitation email is automatically triggered after the teamspace is created.
Note: You can add multiple members to your invite list.
If an error occurs during provisioning, an error message is displayed with options to Retry or Cancel and retry later.
Note: The error badge indicates that the teamspace setup is incomplete or has configuration issues.

Results

You have created a teamspace, which is provisioned across all integrated applications. Additionally, the loop creation is enabled.
