Creating tokens

Tokens provide authorization for agents, users, and external systems or applications. Agents use tokens when they run process steps and communicate with the Build server and external services.

You can create tokens in addition to the tokens that the product provides.

On the left navigational panel, click System > Auth Tokens > Create New Token.
Type a user name in the User field.
Note:
If you are using the token to integrate with HCL DevOps Deploy (Deploy), you must have the necessary permissions. The Build user account must have permission to create component versions, set statuses on versions, and upload artifacts to component versions.
Specify the expiration date and time.

Tokens can be used immediately after they are created.
